A Holloway inspection is sixty minutes on a Saturday morning. Marcus and a crew member climb the roof and document everything: the shingle field, the ridges, the valleys, the eaves, the soft metals, the penetrations, the flashings, and the ridge ventilation. We shoot 40–60 high-resolution photos, which we email you the same day along with a written summary. If we find damage worth filing on insurance, we walk you through the claim process. If the roof is fine, we tell you the roof is fine and we leave.
Marcus is HAAG-certified — that's the inspection-methodology standard the insurance industry uses to evaluate hail damage. There are fourteen HAAG-certified inspectors in the entire Austin metro and Marcus is one of them. When State Farm or USAA sends an adjuster to your roof, they're using the same methodology Marcus already used on your inspection.
The inspection has cost a Holloway customer exactly zero dollars since 1987. That's the policy. We've never charged for one and we are not going to start.
Common questions
Is the inspection really free?
Yes. We've offered free inspections since 1987 and have never charged for one. There is no obligation to book any service after the inspection. We don't push roofs that don't need replacing.
What do you look for?
Shingle field condition, granule loss, hail bruising, ridge cap condition, valley flashing, drip edge, soft metals (gutters, downspouts, turbine vents), pipe boots, ridge ventilation, and any visible deck deflection. 40–60 photos total.
How long does it take?
Sixty minutes for most homes. Larger homes (3,500+ sqft) or homes with multiple roof planes can take 90 minutes. You don't need to climb the roof; we email you the photo report after.
