A Holloway roof replacement is a tear-off-and-replace install — never an overlay. We strip the existing shingles all the way down to the wood decking, inspect every square foot of deck for damage, and rebuild the roof from the deck up. The shingles you see on your house when we leave are not laid over the shingles you had on your house when we arrived. They are the only shingles on your roof.
We install three manufacturer systems: GAF (our primary line — we are a GAF Master Elite contractor, the top 2% of GAF roofers in North America), Owens Corning (we are Platinum Preferred, allowing us to install Duration Storm impact-resistant shingles with the full Platinum warranty), and CertainTeed (we are Select Shingle Masters, allowing us to install the Landmark and Presidential Shake lines with extended manufacturer coverage). All three are tier-1 American manufacturers. We don't install off-brand asphalt and we don't install shingles whose warranties depend on a contractor who might not exist in five years.
Most residential roofs in Williamson County are between 1,800 and 3,000 square feet of shingle field, plus ridges, valleys, and eaves. A typical project from sign-on-the-contract to nail-sweep-and-paperwork is two to three weeks: one to two weeks of scheduling and material order, one day of install. We arrive with the crew, the dump trailer, and the staged pallets at 6:30 AM. We leave when the property is clean.

How long does a typical roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements in the 1,800–3,000 sqft range take a single working day. We arrive at 6:30 AM with the crew and the dump trailer. The tear-off is usually done by noon. The new roof is installed in the afternoon. The cleanup is the last hour. You can sleep in your bed that same night with a brand-new roof over your head.
Larger homes (3,500+ sqft) with multiple roof planes can take a day and a half to two days. We always tell you the realistic timeline before you sign — if a job is two days, we say two days, and if there are two days of weather risk in the forecast, we move the start.
Pricing & GAF system options
Pricing is by installed square foot (a "square" in the trade is 100 sqft of shingle field). You will know who installed your roof, on what day, with what materials, and what the warranty covers. The paperwork comes from our hand to yours.
What manufacturer warranties does Holloway offer?
Because we are a GAF Master Elite contractor, our installs qualify for the GAF Golden Pledge warranty — the strongest residential roofing warranty in the industry: 50 years on materials, 25 years of workmanship coverage from GAF (independent of our company's continuity), transferable once. Owens Corning Platinum installs come with the Platinum Protection limited lifetime warranty. CertainTeed Select installs come with the SureStart PLUS extended warranty.
On top of any manufacturer warranty, every Holloway roof carries our own 25-year workmanship warranty in writing — covering installation defects, leaks attributable to workmanship, and shingle blow-off in winds we said the install would handle. We've honored that warranty on roofs going back to 1991. We'll honor yours.
Can I see roofs you've already done in my neighborhood?
Yes. Our portfolio has eighteen recent projects with neighborhood addresses, square footage, shingle product, and completion month. If you want addresses we can drive you to in person, ask Marcus on the inspection — he can put together a 5-stop tour of recent Holloway roofs within fifteen minutes of your house.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be home during the install?
No. Most of our installs happen while the homeowner is at work. You'll want someone home for the pre-install walkthrough and the post-install nail sweep, but the tear-off and install itself does not require your presence. We do ask that pets stay inside and that cars be moved out of the driveway by 6:30 AM.
What if it rains during the tear-off?
We watch the radar and we don't tear off into bad weather. If a thunderstorm rolls in mid-install, we tarp the deck and finish the next morning. We've never had water damage from a Holloway tear-off in thirty-nine years, and we are not going to start now.
Can you match the existing shingle color?
We can come close on most colors, exact on many. GAF Timberline HDZ has twenty-six colors; the most common matches in Williamson County are Pewter Gray, Weathered Wood, Charcoal, and Barkwood. We bring samples to your driveway so you can hold them up to the existing roof in daylight before you choose.
Do I need a building permit?
Most cities in Williamson County require a residential reroof permit. Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, and Leander all do. Karen pulls the permit on your behalf — the cost is included on the invoice and the city does an inspection after the install. You don't have to do anything.
